Innovating Social Entrepreneurship education
Four Universities
LAB University of Applied Sciences, University of Tartu, The Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and Riga Technical University are developing social entrepreneurship education in iSEE – Innovating Social Entrepreneurship Education -project.
The project is funded by the Central Baltic Programme 2014-2020, that is a cross-border cooperation programme. The amount of European Regional Development Funding (ERDF) for the project for all partners is 474 875 €. Partners co-finance the project. The total budget for the project is 607 167 €.
Objective
The objective of the iSEE project is to innovate aligned professional, higher education in social entrepreneurship in Degree Programmes in four Central Baltic area countries. International partnership brings value to the social entrepreneurship education as the role of social enterprises varies across EU countries. In Finland and Sweden, policy documents on social entrepreneurship focus on work integration in social enterprises, in Estonia and Latvia, the situation is somewhat different. In the project, the approach to social entrepreneurship is broad. Social entrepreneurship hold potential to address complex social and economic challenges.
Hence, LAB University of Applied, University of Tartu, Riga Technical University and KTH Royal Institute of Technology share experiences and know-how among partners in order to co-create new practice-based contents. The partners develop entrepreneurship education and create social entrepreneurship training for companies´ continuing education.
